Education
I'm currently working on my M.Ed in Secondary Education with additional teaching certificates in Spanish and ESL. I hold a B.A. in English with a Minor in Anthropology. I have also completed post-graduate studies in Spanish language and literature. My graduate GPA is 3.7.
Experience
I am a native Spanish speaker with 8 years of tutoring experience. I am currently the Spanish teacher at the Montessori School and an ESL teacher/Cultural Assimilation for the sports industry. I taught EFL in South Korea in 2012. I am a Spanish/English interpreter for hospitals in the Chattanooga area. I am also a published author. I enjoy teaching and tutoring very much. It is important to me to create international awareness through the use of language and culture and as I am Cuban American as well as being a trained teacher, I am a native informant in both cultures.
