Experience
I am a passionate and dedicated teacher that believes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis can help all children become successful learners. I have a B. A. in Elementary Education (K-8) and have experience teaching and tutoring children of all ages and abilities. I am competent to teach all subjects at the elementary level in addition to competency in core subjects for high school level students. I am a math nerd and love to teach math at every grade level! I have some experience with ACT test prep as well. My tutoring services extend beyond basic assistance with homework. I design creative lesson plans and materials to help students build off their strengths while also addressing skill deficits. I communicate with parents and teachers to help create achievable goals to promote the development of independent skills. When working with students, my focus in on foundational knowledge and concepts so that children are able to complete their assignments with minimal assistance. I also work with students on executive functioning and study skills (organization,task initiation, time management, note taking, critical thinking, etc.)
